About Las Vegas

There are several Cities in the Las Vegas Valley area:

Las Vegas – the city that started it all.  Key areas include “The Strip”, Downtown (& the Fremont Experience) and more...(see below)

Henderson – the largest “suburb” in the Vegas area.  Henderson is located in the southeast part of the Las Vegas Valley.

North Las Vegas – Is in the North Central part of the Las Vegas Valley.  

Boulder City – is past the main set of mountains that circle the Las Vegas Valley near Hoover Dam.

In addition, there are several distinct “areas”:

Summerlin – the west edge of the Las Vegas Valley, on a plateau, 50,000 acres of land owned by the Howard Hughes Corp. and master planned.

Centennial Hills – a community on the far NW corner of the Las Vegas Valley

Southern Highlands – a community in the far SW corner of the Las Vegas Valley

Anthem – an upscale community in the south central part of the Las Vegas Valley

Green Valley – an area loosely covers the border between Las Vegas and Henderson

Chinatown – Spring Mountain Road from 1-15 west to Decatur (and growing towards Rainbow)

Downtown – where the “original” casinos and Las Vegas started.  Right where 1-15 and HWY 95 meet.

The “Strip” – has grown immensely over the last 50 years.  Is mainly Las Vegas Blvd. from Saraha Ave. to Russell.  (From the Stratosphere to Mandalay Bay)

Aliante – a master planned community in the north central part of the Las Vegas Valley

Mountain’s Edge – a master planned community between Southern Highlands and Summerlin in the SW part of the Las Vegas Valley
